Breaking ground
the womb of the world
breaking ground
the tomb of the world
both garden and graveyard
without division
between plant and bury
a plot is a plot
the soil comprehends no difference
treating seeds and skeletons
with equality
this comforts me
like the tipping of bottles
in my eager direction
this understanding
this realization
is the death of Death
which also comforts me
and closes the chasm between us

Our woven bodies
interlaced
sacrificing space for tender collision
collaboration
of flesh and dreams
two contiguous women
split only by a fresh sun
